British stamps were overprinted for use in various parts of the British commonwealth.

Two perfin dies on Morocco Agencies Issues
The stamps for use in the Morocco area were overprinted with "MOROCCO AGENCIES" with an additional value in the local currency. I have a number of these stamps perfinned but only two different dies.

Two perfin dies on British Levant Issues
The stamps used in British Levant were simply overprinted with the stamp value in the local currency. Again, whilst I have a number of these issues perfinned I have only two different dies.

A little closer to home are the short lived Ireland overprints. These overprints were temporarily used during 1922 whilst Southern Ireland changed from using normal British stamps to stamps of their own. There were a number of firms that had originally been using perfins on British stamps and so it is reasonable to assume there should be a lot of different dies on the overprinted issue. I have illustrated the some of the dies I have above. Note that there are two basic types of overprint.
