The fancy design shown above was finally identified from the illustrated trademark, backed up by the fact that the stamps tend to turn up with Beeston postmarks.

The next die, illustrated above, proved difficult to identify as it was difficult to even identify the individual letters. The identity came fromthe spine of a book, on which the shape of three letters 'ULP' clearly matched the perfin die. The publisher of the book was the University of London Press.
